This weekend we hopped on the Ferry and headed across the harbor to Taronga Zoo, where Ryan finally fulfilled his Australian dream of seeing a kangaroo! Not only that, we saw wombats, wallabies, and even a Tasmanian devil! It’s a beautiful zoo and, better yet, it’s a zoo with a view as you can see from the photos below.
Here’s a Tasmanian devil. They’re shy little creatures and fast, which made getting a good pic pretty much impossible.
A few Australian pelicans swimming among the ducks.
Did you know koalas sleep up to 20 hours a day? And rather precariously at that.
This guy wasn’t one of the exhibits, but he was so big, and his net so huge, that I had to take a picture.

If you’re planning a visit to Sydney, this is a great day trip. We really enjoyed it!
